PAYBOX MENU:

Payboxes come with a menu of options that offer solutions for some daily use of the land and provide information for our guests. The available options for our guests are:

  • Pay
  • Notify Me
  • Land Impact

Pay: The "Pay" option allows residents in Second Life to make payments directly to the paybox. This is often used for paying rental fees for virtual land or properties. When someone selects the "Pay" option, they can input the necessary payment amount, and the payment is processed through the virtual economy of Second Life.

Notify Me: The "Notify Me" option is used to set up notifications for specific events related to the paybox or the land it manages. For example, if someone is interested in renting a piece of land but it's currently occupied, they can choose the "Notify Me" option. If the land becomes available for rent in the future, the system will send them a notification, allowing them to take immediate action.

Land Impact: The "Land Impact" option provides information about the resource usage of the objects placed on the land. In Second Life, "land impact" refers to the computational and graphical load that objects impose on the servers and viewers. Payboxes might provide information about the land impact of various objects placed on the land, helping residents manage and optimize their virtual environment.
